Get Her Look: Mila Kunis at the Billboard Music Awards

Mila Kunis may have been at the Billboard Music Awards to promote her upcoming movie, Bad Moms, but she looked like the polar opposite of her frazzled, rebellious movie character. She strutted onto the pink carpet in a dazzling minidress, accompanied by co-stars Kristen Bell and Kathryn Hahn, and proceeded to make us all — moms and otherwise — envy her adorable high bun. Is that something we could achieve before the babysitter arrives? Her stylist, Renato Campora, gave us the step-by-step guide.

“I wanted to keep Mila Kunis’s Billboard Music Awards look simple, yet beautiful with texture,” Campora said of the bun.

He began with Infusium 23 Repair & Renew shampoo and conditioner “to illuminate and brighten her strands,” he said. While her hair was still damp, he sprayed it with Infusium 23 Repair & Renew leave-in treatment for texture and dried it with a Pro Beauty Tools 1875W Ionic AC Motor Dryer. He combed through her hair with his hands, not a brush.

For more volume, he curled random pieces of her hair with a Pro Beauty Tools 1 ¼" Curling Iron and then sprayed it with more of the leave-in treatment to prevent fly-aways. Leaving a few pieces loose on the sides of her face, Campora pulled her hair into a high ponytail. He braided the ponytail, wrapped it into a bun, and pinned it in place. Simple. Gorgeous.
