Normally Londoners would be less-than-thrilled to wake up and find graffiti art on their walls — unless it was a bona fide Banksy, of course.

But for this three-bedroom house in Brockley, the colourful street art is a major selling point.

The rainbow array of expressionist faces adorning the exterior façade of this house on Arica Road is the work of Italian street-artist-turned-mural-painter Renato Hunter.

It’s one of the city’s many streets that’s been cheered up by DIY-minded Londoners looking to bring some joy to their local areas.

The house on Arica Road was painted in 2015 as part of the Brockley Street Art Festival, which invited artists to paint the walls of houses, offices, pubs and shops as part of the annual Brockley Max Festival.

Hunto’s candy-coloured work can be seen across London, from Shoreditch to Stratford, although usually he paints on hoardings or the sides of buildings rather than a private home.

Now the house is on the market for £750,000 with Conran Estates.

Inside the house decorated in much calmer white and blue hues, with wooden floorboards in the downstairs living room and eat-in kitchen. The three bedrooms are positioned on the first floor, with a large loft space in the eaves above.

In the garden, a decked area covered by a sloping roof looks out towards the lawn and a freestanding outbuilding that could double as a home office and a guest suite.

The front garden on the mural side of the house has a neat bed of white stones behind a blocky fence painted black to match the outlines of the mural.

On the roof are solar panels, which the agent notes were added in 2014 when the roof was replaced.
