Tortoise and Rabbit Face Off in Nail-Biting Race at Roger Williams Park Zoo in Rhode Island

Slow and steady really did win the race at the Roger Williams Park Zoo in Providence, Rhode Island, when a rabbit and a tortoise were pitted against each other.

Footage of the race shows Pickles the tortoise and Split the rabbit in an enclosure, with a plate of strawberries enticing them behind a finish line. While Split hops about and explores, Pickles slowly crawls his way to victory.
