Stanislaus State awarded grant for program that addresses food, agriculture industry challenges

A Central Valley university has been awarded a grant to help train students in safe food handling. Dr. David Evans of Stanislaus State told KCRA 3 that the college was one of 21 schools in the nation to receive over a quarter of a million dollars. The money will be used to develop and implement a new program in the area of food safety. The program will teach students in the STEM disciplines on how to address challenges in the food and agriculture industry in the region.
