Smoke Fills the Sky Above Highway Near Garrison Lake Wildfire, British Columbia

Smoke filled the sky between Manning Park and Princeton, British Columbia, on July 30, as hundreds of forest fires continued to burn swaths of the province.

According to authorities, some 245 fires are currently active in British Columbia.

This footage, recorded by Instagram user Steven Hong near Sunday Summit, Highway 3, shows the sky above filled with smoke from the nearby Garrison Lake wildfire. As of August 1, the wildfire had burned across an estimated 8,175 hectares and was classed as out of control, according to Castanet, a local news source. Credit: Steven Hong via Storyful
