Clones of Dolly the Sheep Age Well
Dolly the sheep was the world’s first cloned mammal in 1996. Her death at a comparatively young age raised concerns that cloned animals may age more quickly, or make them less healthy, than normal offspring. But new research says sheep cloned using the same method as that which created Dolly show no obvious detrimental long-term health effects. Dipti Kapadia reports.
