One person hospitalized after UC Davis apartment fire

One person was rescued after a fire at a UC Davis apartment late Saturday night, according to officials. The UC Davis Fire Department responded to the fire in the Solano housing area around 11:30 p.m. Officials said the person who was rescued was taken to the UC Davis Medical Center. Their condition is unknown. Crews were able to bring the fire under control within a few minutes, officials said. Other residents of the apartment block had to be rehoused. The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
