Newly Hatched Red-Crowned Crane Chick Finds Its Feet at Cincinnati Zoo

Cincinnati Zoo welcomed a newly hatched red-crowned crane chick on July 7.

Footage shared to Facebook by the zoo shows the tiny chick exploring its enclosure.

“Red-crowned cranes are native to Asia and endangered in the wild. They incubate for 26-31 days and chicks stay with the parents around one year. They are one of the largest crane species and are very aquatic,” the zoo said.
