Netflix says ‘Stranger Things’ season 4 viewership surpassed a billion hours

Yahoo Finance Live's Dave Briggs checks out Netflix reporting "Stranger Things" season 4 accrued over 1.5 billion hours watched on the streaming platform.

Video Transcript

DAVE BRIGGS: All right, here now, my stock to watch for tomorrow. It is Netflix. The streaming giant announcing viewership stats for "Stranger Things," Season 4, saying it's joined the billion hour club. Netflix says the new season of "Stranger Things" has 1.15 billion hours, billion, of viewing time over the first 28 days of release.

And that counts for both parts of the season. It's the first English language show on Netflix to have more than 1 billion hours viewed, second only to "Squid Game" in total hours viewed. And I still have not seen a minute of "Stranger Things." Shares of Netflix little changed in afterhours trading, but the stock was up 3% on this day.
