Large Police Presence at Site of Deadly Indianapolis FedEx Mass Shooting

At least eight people were killed and multiple others were injured after a gunman opened fire at a FedEx facility in Indianapolis late on April 15, police said.

This footage, posted to Twitter, shows emergency service vehicles outside the building, which is near Indianapolis International Airport.

Police said they encountered an “active shooter” after responding to reports of shots fired just after 11 pm on Thursday.

Eight people were found dead at the scene and multiple others were taken to or transported themselves to various hospitals, police said.

The suspect was believed to have taken his own life at the scene, according to police information.

In a statement, FedEx said it was “aware of the tragic shooting.”

“Safety is our top priority, and our thoughts are with all those affected,” the company said. Credit: @SeminoleIndy via Storyful
