Horse Airlifted From Californian Canyon 48 Hours After Getting Trapped Between Boulders

A horse was airlifted to safety on November 26 from a canyon, two days after it got trapped between boulders in Temecula, California.

According to Fox 11 Los Angeles, Sunny the horse became spooked and flipped off its owner, Kaity Mialma, and ran away into the rugged landscape.

Due to severe winds it was not possible to airlift the horse sooner, Cal Fire said.

Mialma said: “He’s my world I slept with him for two nights and three days to make sure he was safe. He’s one of kids.” Credit: Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department via Storyful
