G-7 Leaders Forge United Front on China

Jun.13 -- G-7 leaders debated how strongly to respond to China’s effort to influence around the world and rebuke it over alleged forced labor practices. U.S. President Joe Biden and U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson both took a more hawkish stance, while other leaders were weary of the risk of the group being seen as an outright anti-China bloc. The leaders settled on a more modest condemnation in the final communique that included a commitment to decarbonizing the transport and energy sector. Bloomberg’s Ros Krasny reports on “Bloomberg Daybreak: Asia.”
