DAVE BRIGGS: Ford out with lower sales in November, but the electric side of the business may be looking up. Here to break down all the details, Yahoo Finance Senior Autos Reporter Pras Subramanian. All right, so what's the deal? Ford had a tough month, but in terms of the future, you could argue, looking up, EV's the future.

PRAS SUBRAMANIAN: Yeah. Surprisingly, Ford's overall sales down 7.9% in November, but electric sales up over 100%. Ford says they now command 8.6% market share in the EV space, which is pretty strong. The Lightning pickup sold 2,000 pickups last month, about 13,200 overall this year since May. The Mustang Mach-E, 14.2% up over the last year. And now they say they've sold or created 150,000 Mustang Mach-E's since the beginning of that car production run. So again, pretty strong.

And the F-series still going strong. They predict the F-series will be the-- once again, the top selling truck in America. But lastly, yeah, Dave, it's really interesting that they have these lower November numbers for Ford. In Q3, they said they had 40,000 vehicles that still needed parts to be shipped out, and that would happen in Q4. So potentially, maybe we might see a little bit of bounce in December. But Ford said to me that it's not because of short-- parts shortages right now. And they wouldn't--

DAVE BRIGGS: So it's demand?

PRAS SUBRAMANIAN: It's possibly demand. It's better offerings from Hyundai and Kia, things like that. So I'm not exactly sure. We'll see what happens in December, which is usually a big month for auto sales.

DAVE BRIGGS: I think you just put your finger on it. Hyundai and Kia have both had record numbers in November, so perhaps that is the reason. Pras Subramanian, enjoy the weekend, sir.
