Experts answer your Canadian real estate questions

The rapid rise in home prices during the COVID-19 pandemic has a lot of people scratching their heads, and many are priced out of real estate in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and Metro Vancouver.

Some are asking about moving out of the province or even the country. Others are wondering if they’ll be underwater if they buy today.

We’ve been getting monthly updates from the ground floor from Realosophy Realty’s John Pasalis and Oakwyn Realty’s Steve Saretsky, who help make sense of it all, with advice for anyone buying or selling a home.

They answered those questions as well as why rent is rising, being underwater on investment properties, and activist housing groups calling for change.

If you have questions, email them to jessybains@yahoofinance.com and John or Steve will answer them on the next episode.
