How crews in Sacramento are working to keep roadways clear ahead of rainy weather

Crews in the Sacramento area are working to clean up the mud and leaves that can pile up over storm drains ahead of wet weather expected Friday. “This is the first real rain of the season and normally what we call that is ‘The Big Flush,’” said Matt Robinson with Sacramento County. He explained that “The Big Flush” flushes out the storm drains that might be clogged with leaves and other debris. “The problem with this type of storm is that there's so much water coming in such a short amount of time that we're probably gonna have localized flooding,” Robinson said.
