Couple Create Halloween-Themed Candy Chute for Social Distancing Trick-or-Treaters

A Virginia couple has built an imaginative Halloween-themed candy chute in anticipation of young trick-or-treaters adhering to social distancing rules.

Elizabeth Ferguson and her boyfriend, Matt, designed and built a large inflatable cat holding a pipe which will enable children to receive candy from a distance during Halloween.

The pair erected the colorful invention on October 18, filming footage of the completed project and posting the results on Twitter.

Speaking to Storyful, Ferguson said, “We were hoping that by putting it up early the kids in the neighborhood would get excited about Halloween because we all need a little extra fun this year.” Credit: Elizabeth Ferguson via Storyful
