Bud Light volume improves slightly, but sales still down

Bud Light volume improved slightly last week, but sales are still down as the AB InBev brand continues to see fallout from its partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.

DIANE KING HALL: Time now for our Chart of the Day. Some upside for Bud Light Brewer AB InBev amid the controversy relating to its partnership with trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney. Volumes for the business improved slightly down 27.8% during the week of May 27, compared to down 29.5% the week of May 20th. That's according to data from Bob Williams Consulting, cited in an Evercore note to clients.

Evercore saying it was, quote, "Another week of very weak trends for Bud Light. But the firm sees the possibility of stabilization for the company. And that volumes are still significantly lower than a few months ago."
