Bear Breaks Into Tennessee Man's Car in Gatlinburg

A group of friends on vacation in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, witnessed a bear break into a car belonging to one of the group on July 10.

A TikTok video, by Joseph Deel, shows the bear investigating the car. Separate footage shows the bear inside the vehicle.

Speaking to Storyful, Deel said he ultimately had to abandon the car at the location, after first shooing the bear from the vehicle.

“Insurance took two days to get a tow truck to my car," he said. “In that time looters broke into my car via a back window and stole my catalytic converter, battery, and exhaust manifold. Insurance cut my car as a loss and totalled it.” Credit: Joseph Deel via Storyful
