Akanksha Hazari: Revolutionizing The Way India Shops, Bringing The Local Retailer Online

Aspiring to empower the underserved and help build a better India, Akanksha Hazari led the team at Cambridge University to win the coveted Hult Global Case Challenge in 2011 and founded m.Paani, a mass-market loyalty program for underprivileged communities in the country.

Hazari, who believes that businesses have the potential to make a positive impact at scale, further upped her entrepreneurship game by launching LoveLocal with the vision to empower local retailers to sustain themselves in the fast-changing world of digitization. LoveLocal, launched as a hyper-local e-commerce platform in January 2020, is today, empowering more than 80,000 retailers across India to digitize their stores online.

Through LoveLocal, Hazari is scripting a new chapter in the future of retail, especially for local kirana stores and small shops that are not only fighting competition but also the pandemic.
