I would rather continue to own publicly traded WEN shares and receive dividend income + modest growth than receive cash in a buyout. This shareholder may see an opportunity to rake in more profit for himself at the smaller expense of buying out the rest of us shareholders one time. WEN could be undervalued and he wants to take the opportunity all to himself instead of being able to let my position grow over the long term.

I can’t believe investors will buy into Peltz considering takeover. Just remember what happened when he partnered up with a Canadian cannabis company. This is all smoke and mirrors just to make some more money off of uneducated investors. Never trust a person that is wealthy! He or she didn’t get there by always doing right by others.

This one was an easy pick.
Its way over sold, profitable, and paying a Divy.

Think logically, if you were thinking of buying a company at $3.5 billion market cap, then suddenly you see the share price goes up 10%+ and you have to pay an additional $300 million+ more. Does this not dis encourage you to buy

You do know that Big Institutions will be buying this at the end of this quarter?
This is just the Early Birds!

Is Wendy getting bought out or is Wendy buying someone? Who will buy Wendy or who will Wendy buy? Any thoughts?

Like Nelson peltz but don’t think taking this over makes sense.

Anyone think the news could get us back to early January levels? $24 or more? I have this certain talent at buying near 52-wk highs just to watch prices tumble. Sometimes within minutes of pulling the buy trigger.

An AH filing just revealed that hedge fund Trian Partners, its largest shareholder, is exploring a potential deal with the company. Trian, along with its partners, owns a 19.4% stake and said it was seeking a deal to “enhance shareholder value” that could include an acquisition or merger, according to the filing.

They're profitable and pay a Dividend.
Anyone dollar cost averaging in a 401k should buy dividend paying stocks.

Don’t listen to short sellers, when it goes to $14 they’ll say it’s going to $12, when it goes to $12 they’ll be saying single digits, always trying to incite panic selling so they can cover and buy your shares

Wendy's has dropped so low that its paying a 3 % Div now and that means it will get bought up and held long-term.

Bought 500 shares March 2020 with average cost around $12. Wondering if I should get out?

Can someone explain to me how with approximately 6,500 stores the annual revenue of this company is only about 2 billion? That would average to only just more than $300,000 per store per year. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance.
