IMO. Probably the best intergrated Oil and Gas company set to benefit from the multi year recovery strategy worth basicly up to a trillion in stimulus spending. Under some ripe oil prices we could see $ 70 a share

@David, If you are gong to invest in IMO you need to know some 100 year history. XOM owns about 69.7% of the outstanding IMO shares. They can never buy more than what they have. That is an agreement between Standard Oil, IMO and the Canadian Government, from approximately 100 years ago give or take a decade. That filing was more than likely to have been XOM turning over those shares to IMO for retirement. Every year IMO buys back a large number of shares from the public market. Then XOM forfeits their portion of those buybacks to keep the constant ownership percentage flat at that same 69.7%. XOM isn't buying IMO, they already own it! That does not mean XOM could not sell the whole beast, but that would include IMO's blessing. These guys are long standing partners and very friendly about it.

Who would have ever thought we would own one of the hottest energy names in the sector and it would be IMO. Just typing IMO used to make me sleepy. Regretfully I just sold a small partial at $29.00 U.S. last Friday. I certainly will be holding the remainder! Good Luck! Go CNQ, IMO and Peyto!!

Great company but price is too high right now compared to oil. Waiting for around $13.

Oil and metal prices are poised to surge in coming months as Britain and the US launch a once-in-a-generation infrastructure spending spree and the global economy roars back to life. New target $80 oil😳

Imo.. Is set to rock some nice earnings without the massive gap up thats gonna come the leverage jet fuel.. WE might see massive revisions upwards when the covid enbargo is lifted on travel.

Since XOM owns 64% has anyone thought about a buyout or merger? These smaller oil companies are going to have to consolidate in this environment.

Question to the fellow members of this forum. I live in Canada and hold imo in US dollars. Currently seating at 25% gain. Should I be holding this stock in Canadian dollars instead of US?
