Reasons to buy CGX:
1- Cineplex aims to score a big win in court against Cineworld
2- Disney’s big announcement on September 10th that the rest of its 2021 films would debut exclusively in cinemas
3- Black Widow and Shang-Chi are the top-grossing films at the box office in 2021
Why is this going back up today? Good news from the trial? Reaction to the news with Meng and Huawei?
Did you guys read this? Pretty bad for CW: "As the government relief program was rolled out, the Cineworld-Cineplex deal received several approvals and a closing date was nearing when Jacob said a June 2020 letter arrived from Cineworld's lawyers alleging that Cineplex had breached the deal.
Up to that point, Jacob said Cineworld and Greidinger had never mentioned it felt Cineplex had constituted a breach of its obligations.
Jacob said, "I had a conversation with him a few hours prior to (the letter arriving) and he never mentioned anything to me."
Capacity limits in Ontario opening up further for cinemas starting Sept 25, to 50 percent capacity or 10,000 people, whichever is less. Source - CTV news.
unless you belive that movie theater are a thing of the past it is not a smart move to bet against something that is practically a monopoly.
No mention of increased capacity at indoor venues in Ontario to 10,000 or 50% max capacity. This up from 1,500 max capacity. Effective today, September 25, 2021.
Do you guys think Cineplex is more likely to hit $18 per share or $10 per share by the end of the trial in a few weeks?
If we can turn into profitability in Q3, I'm pretty sure Cineworld would be happy to offer 25$/shares 🤟. After Q2 reported, the stock price was UP. Can't wait to see Q3 report probably much better than Q2 with all the theaters opened across the Canada. Q4: cineplex back to profitability for sur 😍
IMHO, a positive turn on the case will easily add $5-6 to the current price. I expect Cineplex to trade $20+ either way!! $AMC
I don't like to make predictions but if CGX's CEOs testimony is correct and truthful, CW has no case.
Denmark a country which has been 75% fully vaccinated is seeing corona cases go down by half ever since completely removing restrictions in August. Canada is at 70.6% fully vaccinated, we will soon get there!
Do you guys think that vaccine passports that roll out this week in Ontario will help or hurt movie attendance?
Personally, I would be more comfortable going to the movies but there are 2-5% non-vaccinated people who will not be able to go.
No trial today. No settlement negotiations either. It is surprising that Cineworld is not interested in exploring settlement when it’s fairly obvious that the trial is not going to end in their favour.
Rec Rooms are owned by cineplex and they are packed packed packed! Canadian companies if this size are also always targets of takeover from Foreign giants which means instant double in 1 day like what happens to Great Canadian Casino when they were bought out!
If your under 13 congratulations. In a few months you’ll come to realize how great of an average that is 👍👍
People who sold between $13.40 and $13.70 miss the point. This will be a $25++ stock in the next three months with a trial win and a $20+ stock even if they somehow are unsuccessful at trial.
Look at the markets reaction to the two companies share price during the trial. If they cineplex will win, this would have steadily climbed up. It ended down today. Cineworld has moved up since the trial started. Finished up again today.
Great buying opportunity at this price.
Why some are married to stocks? Especially Cineplex? Being married to a stock is one of the biggest mistake you can make especially if you are on forums and look at it everyday. Change your mindset and don't be mad if someone says the stock will go down. Ill take your money
Who think that Cineplex are positive sheet from July??
