Airbus is to hire 400 engineers at its wing manufacturing plant in Wales as the company races to extend its lead over crisis-hit Boeing in the market for single-aisle jets.
Airbus and ZeroAvia have signed three respective Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Canada's three busiest airports, Montréal–Trudeau International Airport (YUL), Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and Vancouver International Airport (YVR) to study the feasibility of hydrogen infrastructure at airports in Canada. The press event took place at the International Aerospace Innovation Forum, organized by Aéro Montréal.
Quality problems, regulatory delays, and eroding market share have many pundits wondering when Boeing will design an all-new single-aisle jet. The sooner the better goes conventional wisdom. The engines, however, might be the gating factor.
