World's worst places to work

What are the worst countries in which to work? Perhaps not surprisingly, failed or near-failed states. A new Global Rights Index released by the International Trade Union Conference used the world's largest database of worker rights violations and surveys to index each country against 97 indicators such as a right to strike, freedom of association, severity, and murder or disappearance.

Based on these ratings, each country received a score from 1 to 5, with 5 being worst. So bad were 8 countries, they were literally off the chart. Here are the eight 5+ countries--undoubtedly the worst places in the world to work and live.
