Unique cocktail creations from Canada's top mixologists

On May 25, bartenders from across Canada competed in the largest national mixology event in Toronto: the Made With Love National Mixology Competition Grande Finale.

The theme of the event was Cocktails Inspired by Art. Artists from graffiti crew Ready to Rock provided eight pieces of art representing hip-hop and street art, which were used to inspire the cocktail creations.

The cocktails were judged on the criteria of originality, creativity and taste with People’s Choice and Judge’s Choice winners. The judges looked for passion, expert knowledge, distinct ingredients and how competitors incorporate these elements in unique and delicious ways into their cocktails.

MadeWithLove was founded in 2009, and has hosted over 50 competitions across Canada, including its first international competition in México in 2013. -- By Shareba Abdul
