These are the world's 'smartest' cities
The annual IESE Cities in Motion Index is unlike other rankings, in that it considers many qualities that contribute to sustainability and quality of life in the world's key cities.
According to Forbes, "the index takes into account 77 indicators, covering 10 distinct dimensions of urban life: the economy, technology, human capital, social cohesion, international outreach, the environment, mobility and transportation, urban planning, public management and governance."
That means, in order to achieve a high ranking, a city must perform well across a wide range of categories.
