These 15 country music stars have ruled Nashville over the past year.

The list, put together by Forbes, compiles record sales data from Nielsen, touring numbers from Pollstar, and independent research on the artists' business ventures outside music.

The final numbers estimate the income of country musicians, such as Garth Brooks and the Zac Brown Band, before taxes and other fees for agents, managers and lawyers from June 1, 2015 to the following year.
