If you’re looking for work, but not sure what jobs are most in-demand, Indeed crunched the numbers to help guide your search.
Indeed measured which job postings increased the most from 2018 to 2019.
The jobs are varied across industries, and several won’t be affected by the rise of the robots.
“It's fair to say that the healthcare-related roles on the list are relatively safe from automation since they require, and will continue to require human interaction that machines can't fully replace,” Brendan Bernard, an economist at Indeed, told Yahoo Finance Canada.
“Automation is a key longer-term trend in the job market, but when it comes to year-to-year changes, other factors, like the general state of the economy, often take precedence."
Bernard says a resurgent real estate market is driving up postings for jobs in that industry.
Quebec has the most job postings of any province, so it’s no surprise bilingual positions are in demand.
