Kirk Douglas' former million-dollar home in California sold

A five bedroom eight bathroom home that once belong to one of Hollywood's first family's -- Kirk and Anne Douglas and their four sons -- has been sold near the asking price of US$3.45 million, according to

TopTenRealEstateDeals.com.

The 4,000 square-foot in Palm Springs, Calif., is where the "Spartacus" actor and his wife called home for over 42 years, until they sold it in 1999.

The new owner is moving into an exclusive neighbourhood and will be rubbing shoulders with the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio, who recently purchased the property next door.
