Jerry Seinfeld To Sell Three Rare Porsches For An Amazing Sum

As “Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee” shows, Jerry Seinfeld is as serious about his cars as he is about his comedy. In the car world, Seinfeld ranks among the top tier of Porsche collectors globally, with dozens of vehicles, including the very first 911. And in a rare move, he’s decided to sell three of his cars that together could fetch $10 million.

Gooding & Co. will sell the three cars at its Amelia Island sale on March 11, with auction house president David Gooding calling it “one of our most thrilling sales.” Prices for old and rare Porsches have soared in the past three years, with the early ‘70s Porsche 911 Turbo appreciating faster than almost any other collectible vehicle.

“I’ve never bought a car as an investment,” Seinfeld said in a statement. “I don’t really even think of myself as a collector. I just love cars. And I still love these cars. But it’s time to send some of them back into the world, for someone else to enjoy, as I have.”
