Thrilling gamers with what many consider the best graphics yet for a mobile device, it boasts visuals that rival what you’ll find on the burlier home consoles. Hungry for more iPhone eye candy? INFINITY BLADE II - Show offs, start here. The original Infinity Blade was hailed as the most graphically rich game to ever appear on a mobile device, but the just-released sequel manages to top it by tapping into the power of the A5 processor of the iPhone 4S and iPad 2, though it still looks amazing on older iOS devices.

REAL RACING 2 -- Gran Turismo and Forza might be bigger names, but when it comes to graphical fidelity, the premiere iOS racing sim runs neck and neck with the big boys. From its beautiful tracks and vista to its working dashboard gauges, Real Racing 2 is miles ahead of the mobile pack.

SHADOWGUN -- Wish you could play Gears of War on an iPhone? You pretty much can thanks to this jaw-dropping cover-based shooter, which boasts crisp 3D graphics powered by the award-winning Unity engine.

The DARK MEADOW -- You awake in a filthy sanitarium crawling with monsters. Sound troubling? It is, but this under-the-radar adventure game has gained a cult following for its beautiful graphics and terrific storytelling.

RAGE HD - Considering it was built by John Carmack’s ahead-of-the-curve team at id Software, the megatextured brilliance of this on-rails shooter isn’t shocking. Though its gameplay pales next to its console counterpart, it’s still worth a look if you like pretty pictures.

DEAD SPACE -- In space, no one can hear you scream. In Dead Space, however, everyone will hear you scream, since you can now play this console horror hit on your iPhone while sitting on the bus. And play it you should, because it’s an absolute stunner.

N.O.V.A. 2 - iOS game developer Gameloft has a reputation for creating titles, uh, “inspired” by huge video game franchises. The N.O.V.A. series, for instance, is pretty much Halo on your iPhone, boasting graphics that would make Master Chief proud.

GALAXY ON FIRE 2 HD -- This massive space sim has been around for a while, but it recently got a nifty HD upgrade. And by nifty, we mean totally amazing. In fact, it’s so technically advanced, this version of the game only runs on the iPad 2 and iPhone 4S. Older iOS device owners, you’ll have to do an upgrade of your own.
