Adventure: Stock Range Rovers tackle the gruelling Great Divide
Back in 1989, not long after the Range Rover debuted in North America, Land Rover showed its prowess by tackling a grueling journey along the Continental Divide. The folks involved are understandably proud of that achievement, and Land Rover arranges the Great Divide Expedition each year, allowing a caravan of bone-stock Range Rovers to follow part of the original route, equating to a 660-mile adventure over rocks, through snow, at high altitude and facing steep, terrifying cliff faces. And coming along for the ride is the original Range that did the drive back in '89.
Here's a look at the expedition in photos, and be sure to read our full report from our man who took part in it.
