The Audi A3 has primarily lived on U.S. shores in hatchback form, but the sedan version, coming late next year, was primed with American markets in mind; hatchbacks and wagons typically don't sell well stateside. The S3 sedan will arrive shortly after the A3, sporting Audi's usual S treatments -- including more power, sportier looks and sharper handling. The door remains open for the inevitable RS3 in the future.
