Zimbabwe's central bank says to limit cash withdrawals to ease shortages
HARARE (Reuters) - Zimbabwe will limit daily cash withdrawals from banks to $1,000 and also slash the amount of cash individuals can take out of the country to ease acute shortages of currency, the central bank governor said on Wednesday. John Mangudya also told a news conference that Zimbabwe had spent $80 million on grain imports this year after a drought ravaged the local crop.
