Two years after Canadians discovered a new sense of patriotism watching their winter athletes deliver in Vancouver, the British rode a similar euphoric wave seeing their sports stars shine on home soil in London.

Whether cheering on athletes at storied venues around the city or celebrating the country’s  heritage, humour and music legends at opening and closing ceremonies, British spectators everywhere were treated to Great Britain’s best Summer Games ever.
