Woman Who Grinned in Mug Shot After Allegedly Assaulting McDonald's Worker Heads to Prison

An Ohio mother whose mug shot went viral after she allegedly attacked a McDonald's employee for being too slow is now headed to jail on unrelated charges.

Mary Jordan was accused, along with two other mothers, of assaulting an employee at a Bellevue franchise of the fast food chain in June.

Despite the charges, Jordan wore a beaming smile as she posed for a mugshot. She was on probation when she was arrested on assault and child endangerment charges.

She was sentenced on August 26 to seven months in prison for violating terms of her probation in the 2014 case, according to the News-Messenger

Both she and Ashley England still face child endangerment and assault charges in the June 8 incident.

A third woman, 31-year-old Sammie Whaley, pleaded no contest to assault charges on June 9 and was found guilty, fined $100 and placed on probation.

Bellevue Police alleged that Jordan, England and Whaley waited for the unidentified McDonald's employee to finish her shift at the restaurant and then attacked her.

The police statement says the women assaulted the employee "in the parking lot because she was working too slowly when dealing with three woman and their family and friends."

The child endangerment charges were filed because Jordan and England's children were present during the assault, Bellevue police said.
