The Wheel of Time's first season may not have finished airing yet, but that hasn't stopped the fantasy show from casting characters set to appear in its second season.

Earlier this week, the Amazon Original series revealed that Hanna's Guy Roberts, The Last Kingdom's Arnas Fedaravicius and A Discovery of Witches actor Gregg Chillingirian have been lined up to play Uno Nomesta, Masema and Ingtar Shinowa, respectively.

In the books, all three new characters serve Lord Agelmar: Uno, a grizzled one-eyed tracker; Masema, a quiet and intense warrior and Ingtar, a soldier from war-ravaged lands.

Other newbies gearing up to be introduced in season two include Marco Polo's Thomas Chaanhing (as Agelmar) and The Bridge's Sandra Yi Sencindiver (as Lady Amalisa).

Based on the novels by Robert Jordan, The Wheel of Time centres on an all-female organisation called Aes Sedai, who are granted incredible and somewhat unique abilities when they channel something called the One Power.

Long ago, men wielded the elusive magical force too, but were driven mad by it and one – Lews Therin Telamon, known as the Dragon – wound up causing devastating chaos.

Now, some time on, a prophecy has suggested that the Dragon is soon to be reborn – so before the mysterious channeler has a chance to either save the world, or destroy it, Aes Sedai Moiraine (Rosamund Pike) and Lan (Daniel Henney), her Warder, take it upon themselves to find them.

Madeleine Madden, Zoë Robins, Barney Harris, Marcus Rutherford, Josha Stradowski, Kate Fleetwood, Alexandre Willaume and Sophie Okonedo round out the cast.

The Wheel of Time releases a new episode every Friday on Amazon Prime Video. Episodes 1-6 are available to stream now.
