What’s even more attention-grabbing than the many twists and turns on Peacock’s new comedy thriller Based on a True Story? The show’s star, Kaley Cuoco, and her IRL partner’s, Tom Pelphrey, love for each other.
ICYMI: The Big Bang Theory alum and Ozark actor have been together for a little over a year. They first met in April 2022 at the Ozark premiere, after being set up by their shared manager Andrea Pett-Joseph, per People. Apparently, their manager was onto something because it was “love at first sight,” The Flight Attendant actress told USA Today in a May 2022 interview. “We were immediately connected,” Kaley added. “I do feel like I’ve known him my whole life, but I wasn’t ready for him. We’re ready to build a life together.” And build a life together they sure have.

It’s pretty clear these two have been head over heels for one another since the beginning, at least according to body language expert Karen Donaldson, which may be why they began growing their family rather quickly. When you know, you know, amirite?

“The way couples hold hands is directly connected to the intensity of the emotional connection between them,” explains Donaldson. If you look closely at the way Kaley and Tom are holding onto each other, you’ll notice that their wrists are crossed and their fingers are interlaced. This “reveals that there is a reciprocal level of high intimacy between them,” says Donaldson. They’re comfortable with one another, which allows them to maximize their skin-to-skin contact, she adds.
Moreover, notice how Kaley’s wrist is crossed in front. This can read as her being “the dominant one in the relationship and claiming her territory—Tom—in that moment,” Donaldson says.
