Investors will look out for comments on the state of the consumer, demand outlook for current fiscal and strategies to draw cash-strapped customers. On the economic radar, ISM non-manufacturing PMI is likely to show a reading of 53 in February, after a reading of 53.4 in the previous month. Separately, S&P Global's services PMI and composite PMI numbers for February are scheduled to be released. Meanwhile, the Commerce Department is expected to report factory orders for January likely fell 2.9% after rising 0.2% in the previous month. Federal Reserve Vice Chair for Supervision Michael Barr is set to participate virtually in the panel, "CRA Modernization: A Conversation with Agency Leadership" before the 2024 National Interagency Community Reinvestment Conference in Portland, Oregon. (1200/1700) Separately, he is also scheduled to participate virtually in a Roundtable Listening Session with Community Depository Financial Institutions before the 2024 National Interagency Community Reinvestment Conference (1530/2030) Nordstrom is likely to post a rise in fourth-quarter revenue, as discounts on everything from beauty to apparel helped drive demand. Investors will look out for comments on the health of the consumer, rebound in demand for non-essential items, improvement at its rack stores and easing costs. CrowdStrike is expected to report a rise in fourth-quarter revenue on strong cybersecurity spend. Citigroup CEO Jane Fraser is scheduled to speak at the RBC financial conference amid reorganization and regulatory challenges. The 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals is expected to hear arguments in a case challenging the SEC's role in letting investors put governance issues on corporate ballots. An administrative judge with the National Labor Relations Board will hold a preliminary hearing in a case accusing rocket maker SpaceX of illegally firing eight engineers for criticizing CEO Elon Musk in a letter to company executives. The hearing comes as SpaceX is challenging the labor board's structure in a separate lawsuit. The hearing is expected to be brief and procedural.
