Wall Street Fundamentals Releases New In-Depth Stock Reports on BMY, CHK, HTZ and SHLD

Markets rallied sharply Monday on positive U.S. economic data. The Dow Jones gained 1.13 percent, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq posted gains of 0.96 percent and 0.81 percent, respectively. The Federal Reserve reported U.S. factory production increased 0.8 percent in February, following a 0.9 percent decline in January. The gain was the highest in six months and larger than the 0.2 percent increase forecasted by economists. "The economy's engines are starting back up after a cold January. It makes us more confident the economy will continue to move forward as the year progresses," said Chris Rupkey, chief financial economist at Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ Ltd. Here is how some stocks reacted Monday:

Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. (NYSE:BMY - News) shares traded in the range of $54.18 to $54.90 Monday before settling to close at $54.72, an increase of 1.33 percent. The stock appears to be facing some resistance at the $54.64 and $55.73 levels with some support at $53.99 and $53.44. The company announced that it has signed a collaboration agreement with Five Prime Therapeutics. Shares of Bristol-Myers Squibb are up approximately 3.0 percent year-to-date.

Chesapeake Energy Corporation (NYSE:CHK - News) shares traded in the range of $24.62 to $25.45 Monday before settling to close at $24.69, a decrease of 1.36 percent. The stock appears to be facing some resistance at the $25.33 and $25.64 levels with some support at $24.39. The company announced that it has filed paperwork with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for the spinoff of Chesapeake’s oilfield services division. Shares of Chesapeake Energy are down approximately 9.0 percent year-to-date.

Hertz Global Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:HTZ - News) shares traded in the range of $27.17 to $28.08 Monday before settling to close at $27.22, an increase of 4.77 percent. The stock appears to be facing some resistance at the $26.10 and $26.75 levels with some support at $25.45 and $25.07. The company announced plans to spin off its equipment rental business. Shares of Hertz Global Holdings are down approximately 5.0 percent year-to-date.

Sears Holdings Corp. (NASDAQ:SHLD - News) shares traded in the range of $44.12 to $46.50 Monday before settling to close at $44.84, an increase of 1.89 percent. The stock appears to be facing some resistance at the $45.33 and $47.28 levels with some support at $43.32 and $41.10. The company’s Board of Directors has approved the separation of its Lands’ End Business. Shares of Sears Holdings are down approximately 8.0 percent year-to-date.
