Wall Street Fundamentals Releases New In-Depth Stock Reports on ARR, CIM, CYS and HTS

Mortgage REITs, which have attracted investors with impressive gains and dividend of over 10 percent in recent years, have slumped in recent months on concerns that the Federal Reserve would cut back on bond purchases. The government-backed mortgage securities purchased by REITs have been outperformed by Treasuries, which have negated their hedges against rising rates. The Market Vectors Mortgage REIT ETF (MORT) has fallen approximately 11.0 percent in the past three months. “It’s going to take a couple years of dividends to make up for the decline in stock prices,” said Wunderlich Securities Inc. Merrill Ross. “If you can tolerate it, I’d say hang in there -- realizing that loss is painful and the stock could claw its way back. But you know you are being paid to wait.”
