Wage protests, Tax deadline looms, Google and the EU

All three major indices (^DJI, ^GSPC, ^IXIC) like what they see out of earnings season so far with stokcs in the green through the first half of the trading day.

Google vs. the EU
The European Union is officially charging Google (GOOGL) with anti-competitive behavior, saying the company's search limits choices, especially for shoppers.  Google claims it is actually good for competition there.

Minimum wafe protests
Protesters in at least 230 cities from coast to coast are calling for a $15 dollar an hour minimum wage. Yahoo Finance was live from one protest in New York City.

Tax Day
It's April 15th...and of course you know what that means...tax day! But if you're a marijuana business owner tax season could be a tough one. Since such operations are still illegal under federal law they can't claim any deductions on their taxes, even if it's all above board in states like Colorado.

Streaming beats CDs
It's now official worldwide: streaming music is more popular than CD's. An industry group says global digital music sales topped physical forms for the first time last year...with Pharell Williams' "Happy" the most downloaded song...and Taylor Swift the most popular artist.
