VMware (VMW) Catches Eye: Stock Adds 9% in Session

VMware, Inc VMW was a big mover last session, as the company saw its shares rise over 9% on the day. The upside was driven by the company’s announcement of better-than-expected earnings for the second-quarter 2016. This resulted in solid volume with far more shares changing hands than in a normal session. This continues the recent uptrend for the company since Jul 5, as the stock is now up nearly 19%.

None of the estimates for this stock were revised over the past 30 days. The Zacks Consensus Estimate also remained unchanged over the same time frame. Yesterday’s price action is encouraging though, so make sure to keep a close watch on this firm in the near future.
