Vista Outdoor board pushes out CEO Metz, names director as interim chief
Feb 2 (Reuters) - Vista Outdoor Inc said on Thursday Chief Executive Officer Chris Metz would resign from his role after the company's board lost confidence in his leadership.
The board, which named director Gary McArthur as Vista's interim chief, said Metz would also quit as a director. It added that the loss of confidence in his leadership was "for reasons not involving financial reporting or internal controls."
The leadership reshuffle comes at a time when Vista is in the process of spinning off its ammunition and outdoor products businesses into two independent and publicly-traded companies.
Metz will stay with the company during the transition period, Vista added. (Reporting by Priyamvada C in Bengaluru; Editing by Dhanya Ann Thoppil)
