Viola Davis, Julius Tennon and daughter GenesisViola Davis enjoyed a special Easter Sunday with her family.
Earlier this week, the actress, 58, shared a sweet photo on her Instagram as she celebrated the holiday with her family of three. Posing with her 13-year-old daughter Genesis, Davis wrapped her arms around the teen, who smiled as she stood beside her dad Julius Tennon.
"Happy Easter from our family to yours!" Davis wrote in her caption.

In October, Davis walked the Le Défilé L'Oréal - Walk Your Worth show at the Eiffel Tower and brought a few special guests on stage with her. The star was photographed walking hand in hand with husband Tennon, later posing with her daughter Genesis.
In the sweet family snap, Tennon stood on one side of the couple's daughter, who wore a teal dress adorned with feathers. Davis stood on the other side of the teen, putting an arm around Genesis and smiling for the camera.
Davis and Tennon have been together for over two decades, meeting on the set of the CBS series City of Angels in 1999. In 2011, the couple welcomed Genesis via adoption.
Discussing her decision to adopt her daughter, Davis told PEOPLE in 2017, "I wanted my life to mean and be something deeper. That's when the urge came, and the urge was just very, very, very, strong. So I have a kid now, and she is just the light of our lives."
In December 2020, Davis shared her daughter's dreams of being a movie star like her.
"She does want to be an actress," she told Ellen DeGeneres. "She says, 'Mommy, I know how to live the words. I know how to breathe the words. I know how to remember the words.' And I said, 'Well, you gotta remember how to go to school and at 18, you need to remember how to get out of the house and pay your own bills.'"
