The Porsche 911 gets a mid-cycle update for the 2025 model year. The cognoscenti will know this version as the 992.2, versus last-year's 992 generation.
The 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera remains the base offering, although there's not much that's base about it.
The 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera is again powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter flat-six, but output has crept up to 388 horsepower, while torque remains at 331 pound-feet.
For now, the 911 Carrera comes exclusively with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic.
Porsche says the new 911 Carrera should reach 60 mph in 3.7 seconds when it has the Sport Chrono package, but we think it will match the current car's time of 3.2.
Only the sharpest of eyes will notice the 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera's new bumpers.
The car's shape is instantly familiar. No way Porsche was going to mess with that.
The 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera interior is largely carryover, although the rear seats are now a no-cost option.
New for 2025, the instrument cluster is now fully digital. (Previously, a mechanical tachometer sat at the center.) You can emulate the central-tach layout or choose from among other options.
