Ford gave its Maverick a facelift for 2025, adding new standard technology, updating the look of the truck, and adding a new street-truck trim called the Lobo. Scroll through for a detailed look at it inside and out.
The Lobo helps revive the street-truck segment with lowered suspension and a host of performance upgrades.
The Lobo uses the standard truck's 2.0-liter four-cylinder—though the setup has been detuned for 2025 and now produces 238 horsepower (down from 250).
The stock truck's eight-speed automatic transmission is gone, and the seven-speed auto from the European Focus ST hatchback takes its place.
The addition of paddle shifters adds to the transmission's sporty flavor.
While the horsepower remains the same, Ford added the 4K towing package's upgraded oil cooler and transmission coolers to keep the engine from overheating.
The rest of the Lobo's upgrades are focused on handling.
The steering rack features unique tuning and was lifted from the European Kuga model.
The suspension setup drops 0.5 inch at the front of the truck and 1.0 inch at the rear, bringing the roof down 0.8 inch overall.
The biggest change in performance over the stock truck comes from the torque vectoring and reduced stability control, which are activated via a new Lobo drive mode.
