Video: How to Spend a Perfect Day in Dublin

Ireland's capital may be the best place on Earth to getfresh Guinness, but this bustling city also appeals to literary travelers, historians, and adventurers. And while you cant always count on the weather being consistent, a trip to Dublin is a guaranteed good time.

We followed travel expert Jamie around for a day in Dublin while he did a quick overnight trip to Ireland. From checking into ahip hotel to seeing iconic Irish sights and sampling some of the best food and drink on offer, here is your comprehensive guide to 24 hours in Dublin.

Upon arrival, take in the beautiful Georgian architecture throughout the citya testament to Dublins rich 1,000-year historyon your way to the hotel. Check into the Dean, a veritable haven for the city's rising entrepreneurs and creatives. At this centrally located property, guests have access to DJ nights, bike rentals, andvinyl records. As Jamie says, the Dean offers "everything your inner hipster desires.

Hopefully, you didn't waste your appetite on mundane airplane food. After dropping your bags at the hotel, make your way to WOWBURGER and indulge in one of the cheese-topped burgers. And of course, visitors shouldquench theirthirst at the Guinness brewery. Sit for a brew or take a tour, and learn all about how Guinness is made with nitrogen, which allows it to be put under pressure with less fizz.

Continue the food tour through the city by opting for one of Dublins more cosmopolitan joints for dinner, Peruke and Periwig. Fun fact: the restaurant was once home to a wigmakers shop. After the meal, itll be time for apost-dinner cocktail in the Temple Bar District, otherwise known as the Pub Capital of Dublin.

After a restful night at the Dean, pay a visit to St. Stephens Green. Originally a commons for grazing livestock, today the Green is one of Dublins best parks. When you're ready to eat, grab a table at Angelina's on the Grand Canal for a waterside brunch (maple-glazed pork belly with house potatoes, vanilla buttermilk pancakes with mascarpone, or fish cakes with grapefruit and avocado).

In the spirit of enjoying Irelands finest, the trip wouldnt be complete without a visit to a whiskey distillery. We recommend the family-runandrelatively newTeeling Distillery. Of particular note is the breakfast whiskey (the lightest on offer) which is perfect for a late afternoon sip.
