President Barack Obama left office today, and he’s headed off toward the desert sun to stay at a luxury home in Rancho Mirage, CA. It’s no surprise—he visited the Palm Springs metro area six times during his tenure as commander in chief. There’s golf aplenty and the sun is almost always out, so it’s served as a welcome getaway for our links-loving ex-president.
Rumors have swirled over the past couple of years about whether Obama might be looking to purchase a post-White House residence somewhere in the Coachella Valley for a desert retreat of his very own.
The rumors haven’t panned out thus far, but there’s no reason to believe his desire to live in the desert is out of the question. If he did decide to retire to the area, where would he store his golf bag?
