If you hold out until February, you can rent the modest house in Washington, DC, where Vice President–elect Mike Pence currently rests his head.

The Indiana governor is renting a modest Colonial in the Chevy Chase section in Northwest DC, a tree-lined, family-friendly area of the nation’s capital. After the inauguration in January, Pence will upgrade to Number One Observatory Circle, the official residence of the vice president and his family created by law in 1975.

Until his move, he’s set up shop in this five-bedroom, 3.5-bath, white brick house built in 1937. It sits on a quarter-acre and rents for $5,995 a month, according to the listing.

The house isn’t secluded—there are neighboring properties. It features a contemporary Euro-style kitchen, family room, updated baths, and an English garden. Small pets on a case-by-case basis will be considered.

All was quiet on the home front when we visited the house the other day. But neighbors say they’ve seen Secret Service agents walking the perimeter recently.

Neighbor Joanna Pratt told a local TV station that her husband saw Pence leaving the house recently. And even though the area voted overwhelmingly for Hillary Clinton, Pratt says she plans to invite her new neighbor to dinner.

“We want to be neighborly regardless of our beliefs,” Pratt said.

And here’s a delicious twist regarding the owners of Pence’s rental. According to property records, one of Pence’s landlords is Caroline Kende-Robb, executive director of the Africa Progress Panel, a policy and research organization, and she’s sounded the climate change alarm on her Twitter feed.

Pence will be working side by side with President-elect Donald J. Trump, who has said that he doesn’t believe climate change is a man-made phenomenon. Pence, however, has conceded that humans have had some impact on the environment.

When he officially becomes vice president, Pence will move to his new home on the 10-acre Naval Observatory, which sits on a part of Massachusetts Avenue known as Embassy Row, because neighbors include embassies for Greece, Australia, and Turkmenistan.

The vice president’s digs were built in 1893 and encompass more than 9,000 square feet. The compound includes a putting green, swimming pool, hot tub, and pool house. After 9/11, a bunker was installed under the house.
